From the land of business

Hi all,

From Medavakkam to Manhattan - what a transition! Yes, I am now right here at the land of opportunities as it is called. I would call it 'the land of business'. While the last few days have been quite hectic with meetings with the clients, I did manage to make a trip to Manhattan.

The first impression I got was that "
Now I know why Manhattan graph is called so!
". The day was special on two counts a) sunday, time when the shopping activity is high b) columbus day parade day and I was lucky to be there to witness all the action. Here is a snap view!

I reached the heart of the city using the famous new york subway train. They are quite stinky and confusing. Not just for someone who is as sensitive and directionally challenged as me but, also to natives of the city. After some snack from one of the McDonald's around, I spent the afternoon at the park called the central park and tell you what- I never thought a park could host so much of entertainment. From music to skating; from relaxing families to active bikers - everyone has something in it.
I didn't have the luxury of time to visit the Zoo and museum. But, I did manage to catch a glimpse of the city from the empires state building. But for the glowing sign boards, it is hard to tell which 50 story is of which corporation. I also managed some window shopping by the way and don't ask me about the statue of liberty. I have saved it for my next visit!

Next post? Hopefully very soon from San Fransisco!
